About
Milky Mama is a breastfeeding support brand selling lactation products, supplements, and resources for nursing mothers. Their audience is specific: new and expecting moms looking for trusted guidance on milk supply, feeding challenges, and postpartum wellness.
Breastfeeding mothers don't just search Google — they ask AI assistants late at night, between feeds, when they need quick and reliable answers. Organic growth today means being present in both places: ranking in search and being the source AI platforms point to when someone asks exactly the right question.

When FlyRank started working with Milky Mama, the site had clear potential but limited organic reach. The previous six months showed 31.4K total clicks and 1.55M impressions. Average position sat at 11.9 — most pages on page two of Google: visible enough to earn impressions, but not close enough to drive real traffic.
The content gap was clear. Mothers searching for breastfeeding advice, lactation support, and feeding-related products represent a large, high-intent audience. Milky Mama had the products and the expertise. The site needed content depth and technical structure to match that expertise in search.
Organic search is the main way Milky Mama reaches mothers at the exact moment they need help. Ranking well in Google matters. But showing up in AI platforms like ChatGPT — where mothers increasingly ask personal questions late at night, between feeds — matters just as much.
Our audit uncovered the specific friction points capping organic growth.
Previous six months showed 31.4K total clicks and 1.55M impressions with average position 11.9 — most pages on page two and missing the click-through threshold where purchases occur
Thin topic coverage across the core areas the audience searches: breastfeeding, lactation, pumping, and postpartum nutrition
No content cluster architecture to connect related pages — internal linking was absent between educational content and product pages
Minimal AI platform visibility — content was not structured in the format AI assistants extract and cite when answering personal health questions
Content depth, structure, and AI visibility — all at once.
The work covered several areas simultaneously. We started with a full content and technical audit, identifying pages that needed stronger search intent alignment, thin or missing topic coverage, and structural gaps limiting crawl and indexation.
From there, we scaled content production significantly. Milky Mama's indexed page count grew from roughly 3,000 pages in early February 2026 to 10,800 pages by late April — a deliberate effort to cover the full range of queries the audience searches for, from informational topics around breastfeeding and lactation to product-led content targeting high-intent searches.
Alongside content expansion, we improved topical structure and internal linking. When pages connect around a central topic, Google understands the site's authority more clearly. For Milky Mama, this meant building clusters around core themes, so the site could rank across the full depth of each topic — not just isolated pages.
On-page optimization across existing content improved search intent alignment, heading structure, and content clarity. Well-structured, helpful content is also what AI platforms pull from when answering user questions — so these improvements served both channels.
